Romy studied American studies, literature and art at Yale and many more practical things at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. Romy is a frequent speaker and contributor to Fortune, Huffington Post, and Inc. She is a proud mother of two, wife to a very supportive husband, devoted yogi and crossword puzzle lover. Romy is highly motivated to bring better performance and productivity to our companies and our country by making the workplace work better for women.
Alison Vorsatz is the Senior Enterprise Director at Fairygodboss. She empowers companies to promote their commitment to gender diversity, to transform their culture, to attract top female talent, and to move the dial in their diversity initiatives. Before Fairygodboss, Alison spent the majority of her career between the San Francisco Bay Area and Manhattan in the Fortune 15 tech world. In 2016 Alison left her career as a Managing Partner at Verizon Communications to develop and lead a female empowerment program across East and Southern Africa. While in Africa, she became a catalyst for breaking down barriers set by society, and discovered that empowering women to have the equality, success, independence, and fulfillment they deserved was her purpose. In addition to her dynamic professional life, Alison is an athlete who has represented the USA, a world traveler to over 75 countries, and an avid philanthropist. Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Melina Owusu is an entrepreneur and sales professional with an incredibly ambitious spirit and more than seven years of industry experience. She currently works as a Senior Sales Development Representative at Fairygodboss, a career community specifically designed for women. In this role, Melina employs a number of innovative and creative techniques to find prospective customers and collaborates with other SDR team members as well as outside researchers. Over the last seven years, she has become incredibly skilled at lead generation operations management and demonstrates a natural aptitude for demand generation. Melina has been featured on Fairygodboss’s Black Women Leading the Way in Corporate America and Self Made Millennial’s YouTube Channel. In addition, Melina is the co-founder of Tidy and Organized Cleaning Services, a unique cleaning service dedicated to both cleaning and sanitizing residences and commercial spaces. She is responsible for bringing in all the new accounts for commercial spaces in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Ghana. Throughout her career, Melina has consistently proven herself to be an invaluable team member and a natural leader. She regularly takes it upon herself to go above and beyond to help her co-workers achieve their goals and meet deadlines. Her co-workers often comment on how reliable Melina is and her expert problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to complex problems. Melina holds her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Long Island University. She currently lives in New York and is a wife and mom of two. When she isn’t working, Melina loves to spend time with her family.
