In 2016, for companies that fall under Title VII, the ADA or GINA, the penalties for EEO violations more than doubled up to $525 per violation. That number has recently been updated to $612 per violation. When considering how many applicants were processed last year, most companies can't afford to make this mistake.

For companies who have recruiters, field managers and other hiring managers posting jobs to Indeed and other job sites on their Easy Applies, not presenting EEO questions, collecting candidate data and then reaching out to those candidates (who are not applicants), companies can rack up significant potential liability.  To get a sense of the impact of those job postings, you can calculate your potential liability here.
