Our Research

JobSync's proprietary matching algorithm takes five main factors into account when matching a candidate to a job opportunity: experience, education, personality, location and preferences. JobSync constantly evaluates the fit of every candidate in our network against every job profile in our database based on these factors.

These factors, developed in concert with Harvard faculty, create a comprehensive profile of a candidate's background and skills, along with an understanding of what a hiring manager is looking for to fill an open position. JobSync's algorithm synthesizes these two profiles into an overall fit calculation that drives our recommendation engine.

The personality component of JobSync's algorithm was developed in partnership with Profiles International. Profiles International was founded in 1991 and has since established itself as leader in personality and job fit assessments. Over the past 20 years, Profiles International has consulted with over 40,000 clients.

The assessments from Profiles International satisfy all the requirements of the EEOC, the ADA, the DOL, and the Civil Rights Act. They have also been validated in accordance with the American Psychological Association Standards. By partnering with Profiles International, JobSync's personality assessments are proven to evenly measure only those factors relevant to matching candidates to the jobs they fit best.

JobSync's algorithm is designed to learn over time. As candidates decide which recommended jobs they will apply to and which they will pass on, our algorithm incorporates that feedback for future recommendations. As companies close a particular search and provide feedback on the suitability of the candidates they reviewed, our algorithm will begin to define unique parameters for that emloyer and that company going forward.
